Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium

Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium (VRG) is a group of highly regarded independent upper secondary schools in Stockholm, Sweden, founded in 1994 by the Viktor Rydberg Schools Foundation. Named after the renowned Swedish 19th-century author Viktor Rydberg, the schools are known for their academic rigour, outstanding exam results, and focus on developing independent, intellectually curious students. Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium operates three campuses across Stockholm: VRG Odenplan and Jarlaplan in central Stockholm, VRG Djursholm in the prestigious northern suburb of Djursholm, and VRG Sundbyberg. The Odenplan campus is located at Frejgatan 30 in Vasastan. As fristående (independent) schools funded through Sweden's school voucher system, VRG campuses are free of charge for Swedish citizens. The schools offer a broad selection of Swedish national upper secondary programmes with a particularly strong reputation for natural sciences, mathematics, and humanities. Graduates from Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium consistently rank among Sweden's highest achievers in national examinations and gain admission to leading Swedish and European universities.
