Toronto's York School offers grades from Junior Kindergarten to grade 12. It is gender-inclusive and offers both traditional and non-traditional programs for girls and boys. Founded in 1965, the York School is the first school in Canada to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) from junior kindergarten (JK) to university entrance.
As an IB World School, The York School's motto is Experientia Docet or “Experience Teaches”. York’s junior school ensures children have limitless exploration leading to incredible growth, by harnessing the natural curiosity of children. The junior school has many co-curricular programmes of athletics, after-school activities and leadership opportunities while teaching students about the community and servicing others through hands-on field trips and experiences.
