The Westminster Schools

The Westminster Schools, founded in 1951, is one of the South's most prestigious independent co-educational day schools, located in Atlanta's affluent Buckhead neighbourhood. Serving approximately 1,870 students in K–12, Westminster is accredited by SACS and ISAS and is consistently ranked among the top 20 schools in the United States. The school offers an exceptionally rigorous college-preparatory curriculum featuring over 30 AP courses, a nationally competitive debate programme, and outstanding arts and athletics. Westminster's Christian-based educational philosophy emphasises the development of the whole person — academically, spiritually, and morally. The school's 180-acre campus features world-class facilities including a natatorium, gymnasium, and dedicated arts buildings. Graduates consistently attend Ivy League and highly selective universities, with Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Duke among the most frequent destinations. Westminster's legacy of producing Atlanta's civic and business leaders makes it one of Georgia's most influential educational institutions.
