The McGillis School

The McGillis School is an independent Jewish community day school in Salt Lake City, Utah, serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through grade 8. The school provides a dual curriculum integrating rigorous secular academics with Jewish studies, Hebrew language instruction, and the values and traditions of the Jewish community. McGillis's mission is to develop academically excellent, Jewishly connected students who are thoughtful, ethical, and engaged global citizens. The school serves families across the spectrum of Jewish observance, creating an inclusive community grounded in shared values. McGillis's secular curriculum prepares students for competitive secondary schools, while its Jewish studies program fosters knowledge and appreciation of Jewish history, text, culture, and tradition. Hebrew instruction develops functional literacy by graduation. The school's warm, close-knit community extends well beyond the classroom, connecting Jewish families throughout the greater Salt Lake City area. McGillis is fully accredited and is a member of PRIZMAH: Center for Jewish Day Schools.
