The International School of Macao

The International School of Macao (TIS) is a leading English-medium international school founded in 2002, situated on the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) campus in Taipa. TIS offers a comprehensive international education programme combining the Alberta provincial curriculum across all grade levels with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6, and the internationally recognised IB Diploma Programme for Grades 11 and 12. With over 1,400 students from more than 40 nationalities, TIS fosters a genuinely multicultural learning environment. Class sizes are capped at 25 students to ensure personalised attention from qualified educators. The school provides a holistic education, encouraging students to participate in music, art, drama, physical education, and foreign languages. In February 2026, TIS received full accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS), affirming its commitment to educational excellence. TIS graduates have gained entry to universities worldwide. The school serves students aged 3 to 18 years.
