The Hotchkiss School

The Hotchkiss School, founded in 1891, is one of America's most distinguished boarding and day schools for grades 9 through Postgraduate, located on a stunning 545-acre campus in the Berkshire foothills of Lakeville, Connecticut. Enrolling approximately 600 students from across the United States and over 30 countries, Hotchkiss offers rigorous academics with Advanced Placement and IB Diploma options, alongside extraordinary arts, athletics, and co-curricular programmes. The school's small size ensures close mentoring relationships between faculty and students. Hotchkiss is known for its spectacular campus, exceptional faculty, and consistent record of graduates attending the nation's most selective universities. The school is need-blind in its admissions and awards generous financial aid. Notable alumni include Lillian Hellman and Richard Widmark.
