St. Joseph's College Colombo

St. Joseph's College Colombo, established in 1896 by the De La Salle Brothers, is one of Sri Lanka's most prestigious Catholic boys' schools with over 125 years of tradition. A member of the Group of Nine elite schools, St. Joseph's offers Cambridge International O-Level and A-Level programmes alongside Sri Lanka national curriculum from Primary through Sixth Form for male students. The school's De La Salle heritage emphasises academic excellence, Catholic values, character formation, and service — particularly to those in need — in line with Blessed John Baptist de La Salle's educational mission. St. Joseph's College is accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education. The school is renowned for outstanding academic results, cricket and rugby excellence, debating, and a comprehensive co-curricular programme. The Colombo 10 campus features historic buildings, a chapel, science laboratories, a large library, computer labs, sports grounds, and a swimming pool. St. Joseph's alumni include many of Sri Lanka's most distinguished politicians, professionals, sportspeople — including multiple Sri Lanka cricket captains — and public figures.
