San Diego Jewish Academy

San Diego Jewish Academy (SDJA), founded in 1979, is a leading Jewish independent school serving students from preschool through grade 12 in the Carmel Valley neighborhood of San Diego. Enrolling approximately 600 students, SDJA is the only school in San Diego authorized to offer both the IB Diploma Programme and a comprehensive Jewish studies curriculum. The school is WASC-accredited and provides a rigorous dual curriculum that integrates world-class secular academics with deep engagement in Jewish history, culture, Hebrew language, and values. SDJA is distinguished by its commitment to tikkun olam (repairing the world), with community service and social justice initiatives embedded throughout the academic program. The school's Israel experience programs and Hebrew language instruction create students with genuine connection to Jewish heritage and the State of Israel. SDJA's college preparatory outcomes are exceptional, with graduates regularly attending selective universities. The school welcomes students from across the Jewish spectrum and from interfaith families.
