Saint Maur International School

Tokyo, Japan

Saint Maur International School
Opening in 1872, Saint Maur International School of Yokohama is the oldest international school in Japan. Despite having over 400 students, Saint Maur manages to maintain a student to teacher ratio of 7:1 so that all students receive individualized attention from instructors. Saint Maur is a Catholic school but it considers differences in religious and cultural values to be one of its greatest strengths. As one of the first schools in Japan to incorporate Montessori style teaching, the International Primary Curriculum, IGCSE and International Baccalaureate program, Saint Maur has long been at the forefront of International education and hopes to continue its long tradition of educating global citizens with a strong moral foundation.
