Osaka YMCA International School (OYIS)

Osaka YMCA International School (OYIS), founded in 2001, is the only IB Continuum school in Osaka City, offering all three International Baccalaureate programmes from preschool through Grade 12. With over 300 students representing 40+ nationalities, OYIS is a truly international learning community founded on the values of family, community, empathy, caring, and learning. The school operates on two campuses in central Osaka: the Nakatsu campus serves Early Childhood through Grade 8 students, while the Tosabori campus houses Grades 9-12. Students progress seamlessly through the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP), developing into internationally-minded, lifelong learners. OYIS received official gakko hojin (private school) status from the Osaka prefectural government in 2012, recognizing its educational excellence.
