Lighthouse International School Costa Rica

Lighthouse International School is a Christ-centered bilingual school in Costa Rica that describes its mission around academic excellence, character formation, and spiritual growth for students from Pre-K through 12th grade. On its official site, the school presents a whole-person educational approach that integrates spiritual, academic, social, and physical development rather than treating those areas separately. Lighthouse also highlights a strong English-language core, an international educational programme, and a learning environment designed to help students build confidence, integrity, and kindness as they prepare for a changing world. Messages from school leadership emphasize healthy relationships, moral guidance, and a safe, active campus culture as foundational to learning. For families in the western San José area who want an international school with explicit Christian values, Lighthouse stands out for combining bilingual instruction, a full Pre-K to 12 pathway, and a clearly stated commitment to developing well-rounded students with both academic preparation and a moral compass for life beyond school.
