Kaohsiung American School

Kaohsiung American School (KAS) is a private, non-profit, pre-kindergarten through grade 12 (PreK-12) international school located in the Zuoying District of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Founded to serve the international community of southern Taiwan, KAS delivers a rigorous American standards-based curriculum alongside the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and recognized by the U.S. Department of State. KAS is a technology-forward campus, with students receiving 1:1 devices from grade 3 and campus-wide high-speed WiFi infrastructure. The school prides itself on a balanced approach to education — combining rigorous academics with sports, arts, and community engagement. KAS serves students primarily holding non-ROC passports from the international business and expatriate community of greater Kaohsiung. The school offers a college-preparatory program aligned with US university admission standards and provides a welcoming, globally minded environment with English as the medium of instruction. Students aged 3 to 18 are welcome to apply.
