International School of Ulaanbaatar

The International School of Ulaanbaatar (ISU) is Mongolia's premier international school, founded in 1992 and serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. ISU was the first IB World School in Mongolia and today offers the full International Baccalaureate continuum, including the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). With 34 years of operation, ISU is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), with re-accreditation achieved in 2023. The school is also affiliated with ACAMIS, EARCOS, and AAIE. ISU is governed by an elected multinational board of trustees representing parents from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Mongolia, with one board member appointed by the US Embassy in Ulaanbaatar. The school welcomes students of all nationalities and delivers a rigorous, internationally benchmarked education designed to prepare graduates for universities worldwide.
