International School of Nagano

International School of Nagano (ISN) is a growing IB-accredited international school system serving students from birth through middle school across multiple campuses in Nagano Prefecture, including locations in Matsumoto City, Nagano City, Nakano City, and Saku City. With approximately 320 students enrolled, ISN was authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School in December 2017, with IB PYP accreditation across multiple campuses including Shimauchi, Minami-Matsumoto, and Nagano campuses. ISN offers English immersion education that connects students with Nagano natural environment, local community, and the wider world, nurturing internationally minded individuals who also embrace Japanese values. The school operates preschool, elementary, and middle school divisions across its campus network. ISN has grown significantly as remote work has increased demand for international education outside major cities. Families relocating to Nagano mountains have found ISN a vital educational resource. IB accreditation provides internationally portable credentials for mobile families throughout Nagano Prefecture and Japan.
