International School Basel

International School Basel (ISB), founded in 1979, serves the large international community of the Basel region — one of Europe's most important centres for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, home to Novartis, Roche, and numerous other global companies. Educating approximately 1,400 students aged 3 to 18 from over 60 nationalities, ISB offers the full IB continuum — PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programme — as an authorised IB World School. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). ISB's campus in Reinach features excellent modern facilities including state-of-the-art science labs, arts studios, a sports centre, and performing arts spaces. Basel's unique position at the meeting point of Switzerland, Germany, and France creates a genuinely trilingual cultural environment. The school consistently achieves excellent IB Diploma results, and its graduates proceed to leading universities worldwide. ISB's warm community, experienced staff, and exceptional facilities make it an outstanding choice for internationally mobile families in the Basel region.
