International College Beirut

International College (IC) Beirut is one of Lebanon's most distinguished educational institutions, founded in 1891 and located on Bliss Street in Hamra, adjacent to the American University of Beirut (AUB). IC serves students from Nursery through Grade 12 (ages 3–18) with a combined American curriculum, Lebanese Baccalaureate, and IB Diploma programme — providing multiple internationally recognised qualification pathways. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). With over 130 years of educational heritage, IC has educated generations of Lebanese leaders, intellectuals, and professionals across the Arab world and beyond. The school offers instruction in English and French alongside Arabic, reflecting Lebanon's multilingual heritage. IC's proximity to AUB gives students unique access to university-level cultural and academic events. The school maintains consistently outstanding results in Lebanese official exams, American SAT, and the IB Diploma. Approximately 1,000 students from Lebanese and international backgrounds attend IC, benefiting from experienced multilingual faculty, modern facilities, and a rich extracurricular programme that develops the whole person alongside rigorous academics.
