International Academy of New York

International Academy of New York (IANY) is a progressive dual-language immersion school on Manhattan's Upper East Side, serving children from ages 2 to 14. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and working toward IB candidacy, IANY develops bilingual global citizens through inquiry-based, project-centered learning. The school's innovative pedagogy fosters creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth in a nurturing, multicultural environment. IANY offers immersive programs in multiple languages, building deep bilingual fluency from an early age alongside strong academic foundations in literacy, mathematics, sciences, and the arts. Classes are intentionally small, allowing teachers to nurture each child's unique learning style. Located at 4 East 90th Street in Manhattan, the school draws families from across New York City's diverse international community. IANY's graduates are confident, curious, and compassionate individuals fluent in multiple languages — ready for the rigours of middle school and beyond. The school embodies a vision of education as a collaborative journey between teachers, students, and families.
