Institute of Education Dublin

The Institute of Education is one of Ireland's most distinguished and academically renowned private secondary schools, located on Lower Leeson Street in the heart of Dublin city centre. Established in the 1960s, the Institute has built an outstanding reputation for academic excellence, consistently achieving among the highest Leaving Certificate results in the country. The school offers both a two-year Leaving Certificate programme for students aged 15 to 17, and a repeat Leaving Certificate programme for students seeking to improve their results. Class sizes are deliberately small to facilitate focused, high-quality teaching and individual attention. The Institute's faculty consists of highly experienced, specialist teachers who are among Ireland's best in their subject areas. The school's central location attracts students from across Dublin and beyond. In addition to strong academics, the Institute provides comprehensive guidance counselling and university application support. The Institute of Education is particularly noted for its success in guiding students into medicine, law, and other competitive university programmes in Ireland, the UK, and internationally. It is widely considered one of Ireland's elite secondary schools.
