Horizon Japan International School Sendai Aoba

Horizon Japan International School Sendai Aoba Campus is the central-city campus of the Horizon Japan International School network in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. Located in the Aoba Ward, the educational and commercial heart of Sendai, the Aoba Campus provides convenient access to families living in the central and western areas of the city. Like the Izumi Campus, the Aoba Campus implements a curriculum based on the UK Early Years Foundation Stage framework for preschool and kindergarten students aged 3 through 6, and the IB Primary Years Programme for primary school students through approximately age 12. Horizon Sendai Aoba complements the Izumi Campus to give the Horizon network broad geographical coverage across Sendai, the largest city in the Tohoku region. The school nurtures children as natural English language acquirers through total immersion, guided by experienced international educators who create warm, stimulating environments where English is the language of daily life. The campus serves expatriate families in central Sendai as well as Japanese families who value early English education and international educational pathways. Sendai Aoba connects students to the wider Horizon Japan International School network, which also operates campuses in Yokohama, allowing families relocating between Sendai and the greater Tokyo area to maintain educational continuity.
