Hokkaido International School Niseko

Hokkaido International School (HIS) Niseko Campus is the resort-community branch of the WASC-accredited Hokkaido International School, serving Early Years through Grade 8 students in Niseko, one of Japan world-renowned ski resort communities in Hokkaido. As Niseko has grown into one of Asia premier international resort destinations, attracting a large and growing population of Australian, British, American, European, and other international residents and investors, demand for quality English-medium international education in the area has increased significantly. HIS Niseko meets this need by extending the well-established Hokkaido International School brand into the resort community, offering the same US-style, WASC-accredited curriculum as the Sapporo main campus. The campus serves both permanent residents of the Niseko area and the children of seasonal and longer-term expatriates drawn to the area by the resort, real estate, and hospitality industries. HIS Niseko is a vital educational resource for international families choosing to make Hokkaido permanent home rather than returning to their home countries. Like the Sapporo campus, HIS Niseko is a member of the Japan Council of International Schools (JCIS). Students completing their education at the Niseko campus transition seamlessly to the Sapporo main campus for higher grade levels.
