Deutsche Schule Tunis

Deutsche Schule Tunis is the official German international school in Tunisia's capital, serving the German-speaking community and internationally minded families in Tunis. The school delivers the German curriculum from primary through secondary school level, offering education primarily in German with additional instruction in French and Arabic reflecting Tunisia's bilingual cultural environment. Students graduate with the German school leaving qualification (DSD — Deutsches Sprachdiplom) recognised by German universities and educational institutions across Europe. The school serves the children of German diplomatic staff, German business professionals, and German-speaking families from across Central Europe. Tunis's significant German business community — with numerous German automotive, engineering, and manufacturing companies operating in Tunisia's growing industrial zones — creates ongoing demand for quality German education. The school maintains close ties with Germany's Federal Foreign Office's Schools Abroad network (Deutsche Auslandsschulen), ensuring standards equivalent to Germany's educational system. Deutsche Schule Tunis is smaller than the French and American international schools in Tunis, providing an intimate, family-oriented educational environment. For German-speaking families in Tunisia, the Deutsche Schule provides the only option for German-language education and Abitur preparation in the country.
