Deutsche Schule Nairobi (German School Nairobi)

Deutsche Schule Nairobi, the German International School of Nairobi, serves the German-speaking and international community in Kenya's capital, offering the full German national curriculum from kindergarten through secondary school. Located on Limuru Road in the prestigious Muthaiga area, the school prepares students for the German International Abitur (DIAP) — a globally recognised qualification providing access to German universities and institutions worldwide. The school also offers IB-aligned pathways for students seeking additional international qualification options. Annual fees are amongst the most affordable in Nairobi's international school sector, ranging from approximately €5,700 to €7,000 per year, making it particularly accessible for German-speaking expatriate families. Deutsche Schule Nairobi serves the children of German diplomatic staff, business professionals, NGO workers, and German-speaking families from Switzerland, Austria, and other countries. The school maintains close ties with Germany's school authority (KMK) and the Federal Foreign Office's Schools Abroad department. Instruction is primarily in German, with strong English and Kiswahili language programmes ensuring multilingual competence in graduates.
