Colegio Helvetia

Colegio Helvetia is a long-established private school in Bogotá that has served families since 1949, blending Swiss educational traditions with Colombian culture in a coeducational, non-confessional environment. The school describes itself as multicultural and multilingual, with dedicated German and French sections, strong English instruction, and Spanish as the mother-tongue foundation for students. This distinctive language model reflects the school’s Swiss heritage and prepares learners for university pathways in Colombia, Switzerland, and other international destinations. Helvetia emphasizes academic quality together with the development of globally minded, responsible students who can think critically and act with empathy. The school also highlights an integral educational approach that responds to each stage of childhood and adolescence, helping students grow intellectually and personally as they move through the school. Located in northern Bogotá, Colegio Helvetia remains one of the recognized Swiss schools abroad and positions itself as a place where students build multilingual fluency, intercultural understanding, and the confidence to contribute meaningfully in a changing world.
