Colegio Alemán de Cartagena

Colegio Alemán de Cartagena (Deutsche Schule Cartagena) is one of Colombia's Caribbean region's most distinctive international schools, offering a trilingual education in German, Spanish, and English to students from early childhood through bachillerato. Part of Colombia's Asociación de Colegios Alemanes (VKSA) network, the school delivers the German Sprachendiplom (DSD) alongside the Colombian national curriculum, preparing students for both Colombian university entrance and studies in Germany and German-speaking Europe. The school serves Cartagena's German expatriate community alongside Colombian families who value a trilingual, European-quality education in the Caribbean city. With a small, family-oriented community of approximately 300 students, Colegio Alemán de Cartagena provides personalized attention, small class sizes, and a warm multicultural environment. The school holds accreditation from the German federal authorities (BLASchA) and recognition from the Colombian Ministry of Education. Facilities include updated classrooms, language laboratories, a library, sports courts, and outdoor learning spaces. Students benefit from exchange programs with partner schools in Germany and across the global German school network.
