Calcutta International School

Calcutta International School (CIS) is one of West Bengal's premier international schools, located in Anandapur along the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass in Kolkata. Authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation, CIS offers the full IB continuum — from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) through to the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) — alongside Cambridge IGCSE for the secondary years. Founded to cater to Kolkata's cosmopolitan expatriate and globally-minded Indian families, CIS has grown into a prestigious institution known for academic rigour, multicultural awareness, and a nurturing learning environment. The school's inquiry-based, student-centred IB pedagogy develops learners who are independently minded, globally aware, and university-ready. CIS consistently places students in top universities in the UK, USA, Europe, and India. The campus features modern science and technology labs, a library, performing arts facilities, and sports infrastructure. CIS is a flagship international school in Eastern India, serving as a gateway to global education for Kolkata's professional community.
