British International School Barranquilla

British International School is a long-established private school in Puerto Colombia, serving the Barranquilla area for more than 40 years. Part of the global Inspired Education group, the school offers a trilingual environment in Spanish, English and French, while combining the Colombian programme with internationally recognised pathways including Cambridge and the International Baccalaureate. The school says it focuses on academic excellence together with socioemotional wellbeing, leadership and character development, helping students grow into globally minded citizens. Its Puerto Colombia campus gives students access to a spacious natural setting and specialist facilities for sport, arts and wider co-curricular life. British International School reports more than 1,100 students and highlights strong university outcomes, international opportunities, and a broad menu of electives and extracurricular activities. Families looking for an internationally oriented education on Colombia’s Caribbean coast are drawn to the school’s balance of bilingual or trilingual learning, pastoral care, and internationally benchmarked programmes from early years through secondary school.
