Black Forest Academy

Black Forest Academy (BFA) is a unique international Christian boarding school founded in 1956, nestled in the Black Forest near Kandern in southwest Germany. Serving students aged 5 to 18 from missionary and international families, BFA offers the North American curriculum leading to the US High School Diploma, as well as German Realschule and Abitur options. Accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), BFA is particularly renowned for its outstanding university preparation, caring community, and exceptional outdoor education programme. Students from over 40 countries benefit from a deeply supportive boarding environment, with the Black Forest providing a spectacular backdrop for hiking, skiing, and outdoor adventure. BFA's academic results are excellent, with graduates gaining admission to top universities worldwide. The school's strong Christian values, cross-cultural community, and unique location in one of Germany's most beautiful regions make it unlike any other school in Europe. It is the school of choice for internationally mobile missionary and aid worker families.
