Berlin Brandenburg International School

Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS) is a leading international day school located in Kleinmachnow, on the southwestern edge of Berlin, founded in 1990. Serving students aged 3 to 19, BBIS offers the full IB continuum — Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and IB Diploma — alongside the German Abitur. Accredited by CIS and authorised by the IBO, BBIS serves a vibrant international community of over 60 nationalities, primarily children of diplomatic, business, and academic families. The school's beautiful green campus features modern classrooms, science labs, arts facilities, sports fields, and a 25-metre swimming pool. BBIS is committed to multilingual education with strong German language instruction for international students. Small class sizes and dedicated teachers ensure each student is known and challenged. The school's IB Diploma results consistently exceed world averages. BBIS welcomes students transitioning from other international schools, with excellent EAL support and an experienced admissions team. Its combination of IB rigour and German cultural immersion makes it unique in the Berlin region.
