Amsterdam International Community School

Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) is a highly regarded public international school in the heart of Amsterdam, offering English-language primary education for students aged 4 to 12. Part of the Esprit Scholen group, AICS is one of Amsterdam's most accessible and central international schools, situated in the prestigious De Pijp and Oud-Zuid area of the city. The school offers an international primary curriculum in English with a strong Dutch language component, preparing students for transition to Dutch secondary schools or international secondary schools in the Netherlands and beyond. AICS is celebrated for its diverse, welcoming community and its location in one of Amsterdam's most vibrant neighbourhoods — within walking distance of the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and the famous Amsterdam canals. The school serves Amsterdam's growing tech, financial, and international business community. AICS is particularly valued for its central location and accessibility, making it ideal for families without school transport. It provides an excellent foundation for children of internationally mobile families settling in Amsterdam.
