American International School of Abuja

The American International School of Abuja (AISA) is a prestigious co-educational international day school founded in 1993 by a group of parents and U.S. Embassy officials who recognized the need for high-quality American education in Nigeria's capital. Serving students from Pre-School through Grade 12, AISA follows a rigorous American curriculum based on U.S. standards, making it the premier American school in Abuja. The school boasts a truly diverse student body representing over 40 nationalities, reflecting Abuja's diplomatic and international community. Classrooms are well-equipped with modern technology including MacBooks and iPads, supporting 21st-century learning approaches. AISA hosts a chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS), recognizing academic excellence and character among secondary students. The school is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS), a major U.S. regional accreditor, ensuring seamless student transitions to American and international universities. Strong extracurricular programmes, community events, and a vibrant school culture make AISA the top choice for diplomatic families and international professionals in Abuja.
