Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School
The Valley, Anguilla
Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School (ALHCS) is the main government secondary school on the island of Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory in the Eastern Caribbean. Named after Anguilla's first female Chief Minister, the school serves as the primary institution for secondary education on the island, enrolling students aged approximately 11–18 from across Anguilla's small but growing population. Following the CXC CSEC curriculum, ALHCS prepares students for Caribbean regional examinations in subjects spanning sciences, humanities, mathematics, and the arts. The school plays a central role in Anguilla's educational system and reflects the island's commitment to providing quality education for all Anguillans. Despite its small size — Anguilla has a population of under 20,000 — the school maintains high academic standards and a strong community spirit. ALHCS graduates regularly pursue higher education in the United Kingdom, the United States, and elsewhere in the Caribbean.
