Al Khor International School

Al Khor International School (AKIS) is the premier international school serving the Al Khor and North Qatar region, founded to support expatriate families working in the oil and gas industry in northern Qatar. The school offers a combined British and American curriculum pathway, providing flexible educational options for students aged 3 to 18 from diverse national backgrounds. AKIS is closely associated with Qatar Petroleum and serves a large community of energy industry professionals and their families. The campus features excellent facilities designed for a full international school experience, including science laboratories, a library and resource centre, sports fields, gymnasium, and swimming pool. The school maintains small class sizes to ensure individual attention and strong teacher-student relationships. A rich programme of extracurricular activities, sports, and cultural events enriches student life beyond the classroom. AKIS has a strong reputation for preparing students for university admission in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and beyond, making it an essential educational anchor for families in northern Qatar.
